Celeste Lopez

Biodiversity Scientist

I am a Honduran biologist with a Master’s degree in Zoology from the State University of Santa Cruz in Bahia, Brazil. My research focuses on the conservation of wildlife and ecosystems, with a particular interest in the taxonomy and ecology of small mammals such as Peromyscus species. I work to generate scientific knowledge that informs conservation strategies, promotes sustainable use of biodiversity, and supports environmental decision-making. I am also dedicated to strengthening the connection between wildlife conservation and the well-being of local communities.
